James Cline

December 20, 1948 — December 8, 2019

On December 8th, 2019, James Cline, (Uncle Jimmy, big hearted, funny, grumpy old coot) formerly of Metamora and Imlay City, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. In his younger years he enjoyed rabble rousing, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycle, music, and poking fun at family members. In his later years he enjoyed reading, Detroit Tigers, sneaking treats, General Hospital (thanks to his sister Judy), bickering with his care takers, and poking fun at family members. He despised being bossed around, noodles, rice, potatoes (except tater tots, specifically hash crowns though), anything on a hospital menu, and politics (you know who). He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Cline.  Sister Earlene and Brother in law Titus Brown, sister Judith Lothrop.  Brother in laws Frank Andler and Charles Kobylczak. Niece Kathleen Hess, nephew Steve Stiles. And possibly Eddie the milkman, we’ll never know. He leaves behind, sisters Mary Lou Andler and Patricia Jo Schaaf. Brother in Law Fred Lothrop. Nieces and Nephews, Tom and “the oldest” Dianna Thomas, Debbie Stiles, Mark and Kim Barker (Kim, he wants his record needle back), Dan Hess, Patrick and Cindy Lothrop, Jennifer McClary, and Mary Kobylczak. Also leaving behind MANY loved great and great-great nieces, nephews and special friends. Per his wishes, he has been cremated and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.  Interment in the spring at the Metamora Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and a service, Uncle Jimmy requested we go have a cold beer in his honor. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
