COMPTON, James Edward, Jr. - Age 57, of Gaines, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024. No services will be held. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society.

Jim was born March 13, 1967 in Howell, the son of James Edward, Sr. and Barbara Jean (Simpson) Compton. He was a 1985 graduate of Brighton High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He had resided in Gaines for the past 20 years. Jim was employed by Ford Motor Company. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, hanging out with his grandkids and pulling pranks.

Surviving are: his daughters, Amber (Matt Shuman) Compton of Novi and Ashley Compton of Burton; son, Alex (Paige) Compton of Canton; grandchildren, Myles, Nora, Bailey, Alexxa, Lennox and Dexton; parents, James and Barbara Compton of Gaines; brother, Jeff (Lina) Compton of Dearborn; nephews, Tanner and Hunter Compton.
