CROW, James Dwight - Age 78, of Fenton, died Tuesday, July 20, 2021. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Bristol Road Church, 1315 W. Bristol Road, Flint. Minister Steve Cunningham officiating. Burial will be held 9:30 AM Thursday, July 29 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc Friday from 4-9 PM and Saturday at church from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Shriners Temple. James was born July 27, 1942 in Nashville, TN, the son of Jesse and Mattie Bell (Arnold) Crow. He attended Flint Central High School and received an Associates Degree from Mott Community College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany. James married Patsy A. Dickerson August 2, 1963 in Burton. He had resided in Fenton for the past 8 years coming from Flint. He retired in 2000 from AC Delphi after 30 years of service. He was a member and former Deacon at Bristol Road Church of Christ in Flint, Mt. Morris Masonic Lodge #535 F.&A.M., and the U.A.W. He was honored by Governor Romney and the Big Brother's Program as the youngest Big Brother volunteer. James coached youth baseball. But most of all James enjoyed sharing the word of God and playing with his grandbabies. Surviving are: his wife of 57 years, Patsy; children, Timothy Crow of Phoenix, AZ, J. Paul (Jodi) Crow of Fenton, Mark (Erin) Crow of Montrose, and Kimberly (Jeff) Wood of Fenton; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bobby and William Crowe; and sisters, Barbara Grandstaff, Sylvia Hughey, and Judy Green. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
