DASKY, James Louis - Age 67, of Fenton, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, July 21, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed directly below his obituary). Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Sunday from 4-8 PM and at church Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Nozzleman Motorcycle Club Chapter #4.
James was born February 1, 1958 in Flint, the son of Ambrose and Phyllis (McLaughlin) Dasky. He was a 1976 graduate of Flint Powers High School and received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Northern Michigan University. He had resided in Fenton since 2000, coming from Goodrich. He retired from GM Milford Proving Ground and had also been employed by Truck and Bus in Pontiac. James was a Lieutenant for the Atlas Township Fire Department. He also was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and The Nozzleman Motorcycle Club Chapter #4, "Road Runner".
Surviving are: his sons, Jason (Sarah) Dasky of Swartz Creek and Brian Dasky of Genesee; grandchildren, Caitlyn and Warren Dasky; sister, Joan Dasky of Davison; brother, John (Susan) Dasky of Fenton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Phyllis Dasky; and sisters, Janice Epstein and Jennifer VanSoelen. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
