James Erber

ERBER, James Allen - of Petosky, died Tuesday, April 14, 2020.  Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.

James was born August 29, 1934 in Boyne City, the son of Gerhart and Thelma (Campbell) Erber.  He was a graduate of Boyne City High School and attended GMI.  He served as a County Commissioner for Emmet County.

Surviving are: son, Timothy (Nancy) Erber of Swartz Creek; daughter, Christine Lawler of Mt. Morris; 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sister, Sue (Jack) Koyle of Texas; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Erber; and brother, Gary Erber.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
