James Erler

Erler , James David - Age 54, of Swartz Creek, died January 3, 2019. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, January 8 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 PM Monday, and 10-11 AM Tuesday. James was born October 13, 1964 in Flint the son of Kenneth and Barbara (Vaughn) Erler. James was a 1983 graduate of Lake Fenton High School. He married Laura Montague in 1986; she preceded him in death in 2016. He had worked for the Sports Creek Raceway and Wash World. He was a very strong man and loving dad. He loved hunting and fishing. Surviving are: mother Barbara Erler; two children Nichole Erler and James Erler II; siblings, Kenneth (Debbie) Erler Jr, Cathy (Max) Vail, Debbie (Steve) Ford, Donald Erler, Thomas Erler, Savannah Erler, Sierra Erler; mother-in-law Phyllis Montague; brother-in-law Donald Montague; sister-in-law Esther Montague; many nieces, nephews, and cousins .
