James Duncan FARMER

FARMER, James Duncan - Age 80, of Flint, died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Brian's House. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Chaplain Burt Davis officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:00 AM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions Toys for Tots. Mr. Farmer was born January 14, 1931 in Flint, the son of Herman Ernest and Marian Louise (Topinka) Farmer . He married Wilma D. McMullen August 31, 1972 in Flint and she preceded him in death January 18, 2010. He had resided in Flint his entire life. Mr. Farmer retired in 1985 from Fisher Body I. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the Marine Corp. League of Flint, Polish Legion of American Vets and Flint American Legion. He is survived by; 5 children, Mary (Hal) Birmingham of Otisville, Nancy (Don) Anderson of Clio, Becky (Chuck) Sain of Burton, William Farmer of Grand Blanc and Debra Stanton of Burton; 6 step-children, Katheryn Wolodkin of Clio, Loren (Sue) Austin of Flint Township, Deborah Dinnan of North Port, FL, Daniel (Sharon) Austin of Flint, Kim Humphries of Beaverton and Kelly Taylor of Flint; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Shirley (Don) Titmus of Flint and Phyllis (Bob) Cox of Lake Ann; several nieces and nephews.
