James Joshua "Jamie" Hamp

HAMP, James Joshua "Jamie" - Age 55, of Grand Blanc, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry St, Flushing. Fr. Brian Lenz celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to Tunnel to Towers or the Wounded Warriors Project.

Jamie was born October 3, 1970 in Flint, the son of Michael Edward and Martha Jane (Himmelberger) Hamp. He was a 1988 graduate of Carman Ainsworth High School; and he received a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from Central Michigan University. He had resided in Grand Blanc for the past 3 years. Jamie worked for many years in Human Resources and Sales in the hospitality industry. He was an avid skier, fisherman and enjoyed boating. Jamie was a gentle soul and a loyal friend to many. His heart was always open and he knew how to only think the best of others. He loved his church and served as an usher every Sunday. But most of all, he had an unwavering faith in God, and he lived it until the very end.

Surviving are: his mother, Martha; siblings, Mary (Al) Kang of Fenton, Jonathan Hamp of Grand Blanc and Peter (Mindy) Hamp of Fenton; nieces and nephews, Isabelle, Andrew, Joshua and Penelope. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
