James Hicks

Hicks, James William "Jim"  - Age 90, of  Grand Blanc, died January 19, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be announced later. Arrangements are being handled by  Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center,  6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc.

James was born December 21, 1932 in Middleton, Tennessee the son of Leonard and Edith (Doyle) Hicks. He married Donna Jean Abbey on August 20, 1955. He owned and operated Hicks Realty Inc from 1969 to the present. He was an entrepreneur and had many businesses over the years. He loved his work. Jim loved his family more than anything. he was "Papa" to his grandchildren.

Surviving are: his wife of 67 years, Donna Jean Hicks; three sons, Kirk William Hicks of Sarasota, FL, Craig Michael Hicks of Gulf Breeze, FL, Scott Anthony Hicks of  Burton; grandchildren, Toni, Danny, Christian, Jonathan, Tyler, Elizabeth; four great-grandchildren; brother, Troy Lee (Janet) Hicks; sister Shirley (Wes) Arnold of Belleview, FL; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Forrest James Hicks.
