James Douglas Huber

James Douglas Huber, age 76, of Flint, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial with military honors will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 10, and from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.

James was born on December 14, 1949, in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late Carl and Nancy (Dunn) Huber. On March 31, 1972, he married the love of his life, Anna Jean Holley, in Flint, beginning a marriage that spanned more than five decades. A proud veteran of the United States Army, James honorably served his country during the Vietnam War with the 228th Air Cavalry Unit. Following his military service, he dedicated many years to GM/AC (Delphi), where he built a respected career before retirement.

Above all, James was devoted to his family. He cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren and took great pride in their lives and accomplishments.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann; sons, Mark (Anna) Huber, Douglas (Tiffany) Huber, Daniel Huber, and Steven Huber; 15 grandchildren (Jacob, Will, Tori, Angelina, Ashton, Savannah, Noah, Levi, Jonah, Gabriel, Ezekiel, Kylie, Colin, Grant and Gavin); siblings, Jerry (Carla) Huber, Karen (Roger) Crist, Carla (Ron) Gibson, Catherine (Karl) Danz, and John (Anne) Huber; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Nancy Huber, his brother, Joseph Huber, and brother-in-law Ron Gibson. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
