James "Jim" Earl Sullivan

SULLIVAN, James "Jim" Earl, age 81, of Flint, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at his home. A memorial service will take place 1:30 PM, Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. A memorial gathering will take place from 11:30 AM until the time of service on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Jim was born on June 13, 1943 in Parma, MO the son of the late John and Gelena (O'Neal) Sullivan. He graduated from Dye High School, class of 1961. Jim and Dorann "Sue" Malinich were united in marriage on December 29, 1961 in Mt. Morris. Sadly, she preceded him in death on November 28, 2023. He worked for GM for many years as a Robotics Technician until his retirement in 1996. Jim was devoted to his family and his faith. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding the motorcycle, playing the guitar and enjoyed telling stories of "Jimmy do no wrong good boy."

He is survived by his children, John (Andelyna) Sullivan, Terrie Cavaness, Scott Sullivan, Kathleen (Adam) Davies and Jamie Brank; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Darrel Sullivan; and sister, Connie Sullivan.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jim was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Cadance Sullivan; and siblings, Gary Sullivan, Bobbie Jo Sullivan. Johnny Ruth Harmon and Glenda Meyer. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
