James "Jim" Ray LUNA

LUNA, James Ray "Jim" - Age 64, of Durand left to be with his Lord and Savior June 26, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday, June 29 at the Flint Baptist Temple, 1430 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, Pastor Scott Pullen officiating. Interment in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek; and 9 AM until the time of the funeral at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the family to be used for a future missions project. Jim was born February 26, 1949 in Campbell, Missouri. He married Mary Marie Mashburn on August 8, 1975 in Mt. Morris. He retired from GM Flint Metal Fab in 2003. He was a member of the Flint Baptist Temple. Jim enjoyed hunting, golf, camping, bowling, playing baseball, and watching football. After retirement he enjoyed gardening and operating a vegetable stand, and selling fire wood to the local campers. He loved spending time with his family and his grandkids. Surviving are: wife Marie; four children, Tracy (Laura) Ezell of Grand Rapids, Doyle (Heather) Ezell of Fenton, Denise Hobson of Flint, Ryan (Heather) Luna of Traverse City; 13 grandchildren; Gabrielle, Christian and Jackson Ezell, Adam, Emalie, Erin, Katey, and Joshua Ezell, Allan Hobson, Eric Sandor, Rainey Luna, Isaac and Abigail Luna; brother Sherman (Linda) Luna of Lennon; two sisters, Joalice Warf of Okeechobee FL, Linda (Pat) Goble of Grand Blanc; several nieces and nephews.
