James Michael McClung, age 69, of Flint, passed away October 18, 2025, surrounded by family. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, Michigan.
James was born February 7, 1956, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Charles and Barbara (Miller) McClung. He was a lifelong Flint resident and graduated from Carman High School in 1974. Following graduation, he had a career as a Press Operator at GM and retired after 21 years of service. He had a huge circle of friends and was a well-known member of the community. For many years, he served as the President of the Carman-Ainsworth Senior Center. In his free time, he was a big fan of sports, rooting for UofM football and watching NASCAR. He also loved the outdoors as an avid hunter.
James is survived by daughter, Kari McClung of Flint Twp.; sister Kathy VanDeusen of Ovid; brother-in-law, Tom Limmer of Illinois; sisters-in-law, Nancy House of Davison, and Lisa Jamrog of Flint; many nieces and nephews; and dog, Paisley.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Barbara; wife of 38 years, Karen; and brother Dan McClung.
