James Edward Newsome Sr.

James Edward Newsome - Age 89, of Titusville, Florida, Passed away on July 18, 2025 Born in Detroit Michigan October 24, 1935. He was a devoted husband to Brenda and a loving and dedicated father/grandfather. Dad was hard-working and dedicated. A graduate of Central Michigan University. He retired from Chrysler in 1991, where he was known for his dedication and experience. He later traveled with Brenda for Lutheran Digest, a passion in retirement. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; children, James Newsome Jr., Stephen Newsome, and Leanne Craig; grandchildren, Faith Missel and Joy Neideffer as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

A funeral service will be held 2PM Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Lutheran Hour a cause close to Dad's heart. Jim cherished the truth and revered God all of his life. We find comfort in knowing that Dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
