James E. Schermerhorn

Schermerhorn, James E. - Age 68, of Flint, passed away August 31, 2025. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507.

James was born November 23, 1956 in Newport, Rhode Island, the son of Lyle Keith Schermerhorn and Josephine Bernadette (Woznicki) Schermerhorn. He was a graduate of Carman High School. James loved to fish and also enjoyed woodworking.

James is survived by his son, Jeremy Schermerhorn; grandson, Sawyer Schermerhorn; siblings, William Schermerhorn, Kathleen Mary Wauters, and Jodie Marie Nanni; several nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle Schermerhorn and Josephine Wallace.

The family would like to offer special gratitude to Dan Otto for the many years of friendship in helping out James.
