Janell R. Owens

Owens, Janell R. - age 74, formerly of Byron, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on July 27, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 23, 2026 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center (6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507) with Pastor Hugh Donnely officiating. The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday, October 22, 2026 and on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Janell was born on March 22, 1952 in Flint, Michigan to the late Stanley and Alice (Creager) Robertson. She graduated from Byron High School and on May 24, 1968 she married Gary Owens in Durand, Michigan. Janell devoted her life to her family and her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Raedawn Cardiff of Fenton and Adam (Jennifer) Owens of Oxford; grandchildren, Garrett Kittle, Miranda (Spencer) Williams, Kasmine (Manny) Johnson, Tyareya Collins, Nicholas Owens; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive; sister-in-laws, Ann Robertson, Barbara Robertson and Sandy Florkowski. Janell will be welcomed into Heaven by her parents; husband, Gary; brothers, Lee, Ernie and Robert Robertson; sister-in-law, Janet Robertson.
