Janet Lorraine Harris

HARRIS, Janet Lorraine, age 76 and longtime resident of Grand Blanc, passed away August 20, 2023.  A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, August 30 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center  6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. The family will receive guests from 10 AM until the time of service. Janet will be laid to rest, following the memorial service, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.

Janet was born on March 1, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Hugh and Hazel McEwen. She graduated from MacKenzie High School and married Ronnie Harris on June 10, 1967 in Detroit, Michigan. She worked for over 20 years as an insurance agent and office manager for State Farm Insurance. Janet was a lover of animals and she enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ron;  children, Jennifer Berden and Chris Harris, both of Grand Blanc;  brother, Norman (Carolyn) McEwen of Livonia;  sister, Gracie Robinson of Livonia.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and her furry friend, Luna.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents;  sister, Betty Toy.
