Janett Mary Comer

Comer, Janett Mary – Age 84, formerly of Flint, passed away December 3, 2025. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery in Grand Blanc. Visitation will take place from 4:00–8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Janett was born November 23, 1941 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Wiley and Bessie (Brock) Lynch. She was married to John B. Comer, Sr. for nearly 57 years. Janett received an associate’s degree from Michigan State University and worked for many years in the cafeterias of Flint Public Schools. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, University of Michigan sports, and had a deep love for her family.

Surviving are her son, John B. Comer II, and his husband, Matthew Ciszewski; daughter, Robyn, and her husband, Jeff Moore; grandchildren, Nick Epperson, Cheyenne (Brandon) Bonasse, Dylan (Kinsey) Comer, Ethan Moore, and Bryce Moore; great-grandchildren, Bailey Bonasse and Blaine Comer; two sisters, Geraldine Ellsworth and Dawn Clark; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Blaine Comer, Sr.; her parents, Wiley and Bessie Lynch; and siblings Juanita, Donald, Chuck, Jeri, Mary Jo, Debbie, and Wallis.
