GOLDSTEIN, Janice Elaine - of Fenton, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Jan made her transition to be with her loving husband, Robert, son Alan, mother and father, Marcella and Orrin Weatherill, and many truly wonderful friends and family who have passed before her. Janice was born in Omaha, Nebraska on March 29, 1925, and was an only child. The family moved to Flint, MI early on where her father became a custom home builder and her mother a teacher at Cook Elementary. She met and married Robert, and participates in the family business of men's clothing stores, later to be called "Roberts David Alan." Janice excelled at golf and won many club championships over the years at Atlas Valley, Flint and then Atlantis, Florida where she won 3 times, the last being in 2000. She loved to garden and collect her orchids. She is survived by son, David and wife, Denise Rothley, Fenton, MI and their dog, Pine, who she spoiled with treats! Son, Douglas and wife, Lorraine; grandsons, Jared and Cameron, and dog, Scout of Alexandria, VA. She is also survived by granddaughter, Jami of Columbus, OH. The family wishes to thank dearly the wonderful caregivers, first at station 3126/28 Genesys Hospital, and then all the fine staff, nurses and caregivers at Genesys Hospice, who made her transition peaceful and pain free over the last 4 weeks. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice, or the Temple Beth El General Fund. Janice will be cremated, and then she and her husband, Robert will play one more round of golf on some of their favorite golf courses!
