Jean Carol Craine

CRAINE, Jean Carol - Age 95, of Swartz Creek, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Cremation has taken place and no services will take place at this time. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Paralyzed Veteran's of America.

Jean was born December 12, 1930 in Flint, the daughter of Earl Edwin and Flora Sarah (Ripley) Smith. She was a 1949 graduate of Utley High School in Flint. She had resided in Swartz Creek for the past 2 years coming from Flushing. She retired from Kelly Heath Care in Flint as a secretary. Jean enjoyed bird watching and doing crosswords puzzles.

Surviving are: son, Richard Craine of Waterford; daughter, Kelly (Patrick) Putnam of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Kim (Mark), Eric, Richard III (Sandy), Amber (Eric), John, Thomas, Ashley, and James; great grandchildren, Kelsie, Spencer, Caelynn, Avaya, Casey, Cooper, and Xander; great great grandson, Ryan; brother, Earl Smith of Flushing; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Flora Smith; son Thomas Craine; daughter-in-law, Pamela Craine; and sister, Eleanor Grosinsky. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
