Jean Panigi

Panigi, Jean Elizabeth - Age 78, of Burton, died Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Per Jean's wishes visitation will be held 2PM to 8PM Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Jean was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, on August 9, 1936, the Daughter of the late Clarence and Jenny (Bell) Backman. She married Edward A. Panigi in Nova Scotia on March 5, 1954, he preceded her in death on October 26, 1992. Jean enjoyed playing cards, watching movies, TALKING, staying up on surrounding news and monthly birthdays with her Rory Street friends. Surviving are: children, Maria (Thomas) Piotraczk of Flint, Anthony (Robin) Panigi of Burton, Donna (Gerald) Pollock of Clio, Patricia Mathenia of Novi, Paul ( Debbie Altamira) Panigi of Grand Blanc; 10 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 step great grand child; brothers, Richard (Ceclia) Backman of Ohio; Robert (Rosemary) Backman of Canada; several nieces and nephews.
