Jeanette Lois DAHLGREN

DAHLGREN, Jeanette Lois -- Age 83, of Flint, died December 13, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday, December 17 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday, 12 Noon until the time of the funeral Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to Kettering University Mechanical Engineering Department. Jeanette was born January 18, 1929 in Anna, OH, the daughter of Burt and Augusta (Turner) Foote. She was a 1947 graduate of Anna High School. She married Wilbert L. Dahlgren August 15, 1959 in Sidney, OH; he preceded her in death September 2, 2007. She was a Cub Scouts Den Mother and a member of the Faculty Wives of GMI. She volunteered for the Center for the Visually Impaired. She loved her grandchildren, and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing bridge with her Bridge Club, studying historical items, volunteering, and spending time with her husband at their cabin. Surviving are: three children, Laura and husband Paul DesGravise of Brighton, Peter and wife Laura Dahlgren of Lapeer, Linda and husband Daniel Stuit of Holly; eight grandchildren Matthew Carver, Joseph DesGravise, Alexander, Monica, Benjamin, Kristen, Holly, and Patrick Dahlgren; sister Inez Wooddell; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbert; twin brother John Foote; sister, Vida Mae Nelson; brothers-in-law, Jay Nelson and John Wooddell.
