Jeanette Joann SCHINDLER

SCHINDLER, Jeanette Joann - Age 91 , of Flint, went quietly in her sleep on January 17, 2014 to join those who have been waiting for her in heaven. Her life will be celebrated with a memorial service 1 PM Saturday, January 25, 2014 at United in Christ Lutheran Church, G-6330 Corunna Rd., Flint, Pastor Stephen Stahlhut officiating. Jeanette was born March 17, 1922 in Saginaw the daughter of Fredrick and Amelia (Washaunda) Sputa. She was married to Clarence Schindler on June 8, 1946 in Detroit; he preceded her in death April 29, 2012. She was a member of the United in Christ Lutheran Church and the Red Hat Society. She loved travel including casino trips, Las Vegas, Europe and Hawaii. She was a "Domestic Engineer" by her own definition. She touched the lives of many in her long and fulfilling life. She will be sadly missed by those who loved her. Surviving are : four children, Craig Schindler, Glenn (Bev) Schindler, Lynn (Bruce) DeGroot, Mark (Tracy) Schindler; grandchildren, Steven Schindler, Rhonda Fadlallah, Chris (Malinda) Schindler, Jason Jakubczyk, Amy Howard; seven great-grandchildren, Mohamad, Fatima, Cullum, Megan, Logan, Addison, and Grayson; sister Frances Beecherl; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dana Schindler; and her siblings, Mary, Harry, Steve, Tony, Beatrice, Stephanie and Emily. The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all of those at Homestead Healthcare and Woodhaven Assisted Living facility along with everyone on her team at Gentiva Hospice for the loving care she received during this past year.
