Jeffrey C. Serra

February 16, 1974 — October 2, 2025

Fenton

SERRA, Jeffrey C., age 51, of Fenton, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, October 2, 2025. He was born on February 16, 1974, in Pontiac, Michigan, and grew up in Waterford before later making his home in Genesee County.

For the past 13 years, Jeffrey was lovingly cared for by his brother Mark, sister-in-law Kathy, and their children and grandchildren-who brought him endless joy and whom he cherished dearly.

Jeffrey was a blessing to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He greeted the world with a big smile, an even bigger hug, and a heart full of love. He worked for many years at Serra Automotive in Fenton, where he proudly shredded papers and enjoyed his many Diet Coke breaks.

He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: watching the Game Show Network, listening to oldies music, playing with his collection of wrestling figures, and trying on his countless neckties. Jeffrey especially loved boat rides on Lake Fenton, where he was fondly known as “the mayor of Lake Fenton,” greeting friends and neighbors with warmth and joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lois Serra; his brother, A. Michael Serra; and his nephew, Mitchell Albright. He is survived by his siblings: Lynne (Rick and the late Tom) Parker-Farms of Grand Blanc; Alice (the late Bert) Reid of Hilton Head, SC; Mark (Kathy) Serra of Fenton; Joe (Julie) Serra of Fenton; Amy (the late Jack) Albright of Leland, NC; Mary (Pat) McMahon of Clarkston; Ann Serra-Lowney of Fenton; and Peter (Cristina) Serra of Grand Blanc. Jeffrey also leaves behind 25 nieces and nephews and 27 great-nieces and nephews, all of whom he adored-and who adored him in return.

Jeffrey’s life was a true gift. His kindness, joy, and love will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.

Jeffrey will lie in state on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Fr. Joe Krupp celebrant. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3:00-9:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Sharp Funeral Home, 1000 W. Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Michigan. Burial in All Saints Cemetery, Waterford.

His Funeral Mass will be livestreamed and may be viewed on Facebook - Church of the Holy Family Grand Blanc. You'll see the mosaic cross or YouTube - Holy Family Parish, Grand Blanc (again, the mosaic cross.)
