Jeremi Redmond, 42, of Swartz Creek, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2026. Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. A committal service will follow at 2:30 PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly with military honors. Visitation will be at the funeral home 11:00 AM until the service time on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Jeremi may be made to Student Veterans of America https://studentveterans.org/
Jeremi, the son of Terrence and Lanette Redmond was born June 27, 1983 in Detroit, Michigan.
Jeremi graduated from Carman Ainsworth High School "Class of 2001". Jeremi loved the Lord and accepted Christ at a young age. He was baptized at Mt. Zion in Clarkston, Michigan. He was a man who believed deeply in God, family, community, and lifting others up.
Jeremi was a proud veteran and served his country honorably in the United States Army as a Private First Class from 2003 to 2008. In 2011 Jeremi earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Administration from the University of Michigan Flint. After graduating, Jeremi was employed as a Student Veterans Representative at Universal Technical Institute in Canton, Michigan where he continued to impact the lives of those around him through his knowledge, work ethic and dedication.
Jeremi was an avid sports fan who loved watching the games with family and friends. On Sundays, you could often find him at his in-laws' watching football and enjoying time together. He also enjoyed encouraging young athletes in football and baseball as an assistant coach.
Jeremi loved traveling, trying new foods, and bringing people together. Whether it was gathering family around the table or manning the grill, Jeremi created moments filled with laughter, fun, and good conversation.
Jeremi's greatest joy was his high school sweetheart, Heather, together for 25 years and 17 years of marriage; as well as his two sons, Braylon and Cameron. He loved them all deeply and was incredibly proud of his boys.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his devoted wife Heather; beloved sons, Braylon Li and Cameron Scott; loving parents, Terrence and Lanette Redmond; siblings Joshua Redmond (twin), Terrence (Robin) Redmond II, Aijalon Redmond, Nicole (Curtis) Fields; in-laws, Scott (Francine) Vaughn, sister-in-law, Holly (Matthew) Ferry; god-mother Sharon Withey. A host of loving nieces and nephews, and other relatives and countless friends including best friend Carlton Boyce.
Jeremi was preceded in death by his grandparents Solomon (Deborah) Perkins, Hollis (Beverly) Holmes, Richard Redmond; uncles Melvin Perkins, Byron and Timothy Redmond, aunt, Tracie Altheimer, and cousin Joe Thompson III (Perkins/13)
Jeremi will be remembered for his perseverance and his love for people. His life was a testament to service, love and dedication. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
