Jeremy Steven Blom

Blom, Jeremy Steven - Age 50, of Byron, died January 1, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. There will be no services held. Arrangements have been handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden, Michigan 48451.

Loving Husband, father, grandfather, son, and sibling, Jeremy was born December 1, 1975 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Steven Blom and Karen (Vasconcellos) Blom. He attended Linden High School. Jeremy married the love of his life Anjanette "Angie" McLaughlin on May 24, 1996. Together the couple would raise their three children, which Jeremy would exclaim to be the greatest treasure and joy of his life.

Although his family was his greatest joy Jeremy had many areas of interest and passion. He was a music enthusiast who showed a love and impressive talent for drumming and bass guitar. He loved everything encompassing water, and although he loved all the Great Lakes, if pressed, he would admit particular admiration for Lake Superior and its expansive beauty. A freighter enthusiast Jeremy was known to bring binoculars with him any chance he could to get a better look at the monolithic ships as they passed through the lakes. As a scuba diver he also would ponder what it would be like to dive the Edmund Fitzgerald, the most cherished of ships in his eyes.

Most importantly he loved his family, a fact that he would boastfully exclaim. Even while ailing Jeremy made it a priority to spend time with his granddaughter, showering her with love just as he did his children. A fighter through and through he always kept a positive mindset never showing any quit, a strength which never faltered even in the hardest of times. He will be remembered and deeply missed for his unwavering love, compassion, strength, humor, and boisterous laugh amongst his many other qualities that always seemed to attract the admiration of others.

Surviving are: wife of 29 years, Angie; three children, Deven Blom, Dustin Blom (Lexie), Austin Blom (Jessica); granddaughter, Olivia Blom; parents; Steven and Karen Blom; siblings, Tony Blom, Dawn (Shaun) Golden; brother-in-law, Jeremy McLaughlin; several nieces and nephews; and Oscar the Pug.
