Jerry Charles Blodgett

Jerry C. Blodgett - Age 72, of Whiting, New Jersey, passed away at his home on December 30, 2024. Jerry was born June 12, 1952 in Flint, Michigan the son of Wilma (Burns) and Charlie Blodgett. He enlisted in the Army in 1970 for 2 tours of service. After Fort Knox Boot Camp he was stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany, Fort Dix New Jersey and Fort Bliss El Paso Texas. He was most recently employed by Home Depot for over 20 years. Jerry is survived by his 2 children, Shannon (Neil) Sherman of Laurel Mississippi, and Jerry C. (Nicole) Blodgett Jr. of Union Beach New Jersey; 2 grandsons, Tyson Sherman and Nathaniel Blodgett; sisters, Joann Gardner and Denise Meyer both of Michigan; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilma and Charles Blodgett; brother, Duane. A private committal service along with Army Honors will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Mi.
