Jimmie Miller

MILLER, Jimmie Ray - age 65, of Flushing, died December 18, 2019. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Don Phillips officiating. Interment will be 1 PM Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11 AM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Deann's brother's foundation in the Philippines The Lingap Children's Foundation, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Jimmie was born January 25, 1954 in Flint, the son of Odus Harold Miller and Alma (Headrick) Miller. Jimmie spent most of his life in the Flint area and worked for General Motors Metal Fabrication plant as a forklift operator, retiring after 35 years. He married Deanne on July 1, 1982 in Toledo, OH, and they settled and raised their family in Flushing. Jimmie was his own social affiliation, never hearing a story he didn't like to tell. He enjoyed fishing, golf, motorcycles, and loved roller skating in his younger days winning many competitions. Jimmie is survived by his wife of 37 years Deanne, his daughter Stephanie Miller, son Scott Miller, and daughter Sally(Jeffrey) Fikes. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, step brother David Headrick, and two children John and Catherine Sanders.Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
