Jimmy Delano Rife

Rife, Jimmy Delano-- affectionately known to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as "Poppa Jimmy" - Age 83, of Flint, passed away October 2, 2026. Arrangements will be announced by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507.

Jimmy was born March 10, 1943 in Buchanan County, Virginia, the son of Joseph Troy Rife and Emma Mae (Justus) Rife. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He retired from General Motors with 30 years of service. He was a member of the VFW. He loved his family, and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was always generous with those he loved. Surviving are: sons, Brian Rife, Kyle (Krystal) Rife; grandchildren, Bret Rife, Lukas (Deborah) Rife, Trevor Rife, Preston Rife; great-grandchildren, Roman Rife, Reuben Rife, Preston Rife, Roxy Rife; siblings, Jean, Johnny, Judy, Van, Anita, Sandy, Cindy, Debbie, Sherry; many nieces and nephews; special friend and caregiver, Aileen England.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Don, Dorothy, Patsy, Eddie, and Peggy.
