Joan Marie Clifford

Joan Marie (Sanders) Clifford - Age 90, of Lennon, passed away February 24, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 12PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes- Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with visitation taking place at the funeral home from 10AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Bendle Cemetery.

Joan was born August 6, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to Percy and Velma (Walt) Sanders. She was an Avon Lady, and then went on to work at Thompson's Drug Store and Beechcraft in Durand. In her spare time, you could find her at the bowling alley or out on the floor dancing to her favorite songs. She was an animal lover from the day she was born and always had a special place in her heart for her pets. Most of all, she loved her family.

Joan is survived by her children Robert (Loretta), Mark (Donna), and Michael (the late Gloria); daughter-in-law Dawn; grandchildren Jason, Chad (Nicole), Brian (Tiffany), Christopher, and Alexis; and great-grandchildren Dylan, Payton, Avery, Emily and Lilliana.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Edgar F. Clifford; son David; and brothers Frank and Herb Sanders.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Shiawassee Hospice House- Haven of Rest in Owosso.
