Joan Zsigo

ZSIGO, Joan M.- age 81, of Gaines, passed away January 21, 2019. Funeral Services 1 PM Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel at our temporary location, Hill Creek Church 5363 Hill Rd, Swartz Creek (Mundy Twp.). Visitation will be 5PM to 9PM Friday and 11AM until the time of service Saturday at Hill Creek Church. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Joan was born December 31, 1937 in Flint, the daughter of Ervin S. and Helen L.(Thompson) Davis. She married Louis E. Zsigo in Durand, June 17, 1961. Joan was a homemaker. She was an active member of Gaines United Methodist Church. Joan also was a member of the Durand Senior Center. She was an excellent gardener, and enjoyed reading. sewing, and traveling the State of Michigan with her husband. Surviving are: children, Nancy (Jim) Miller; Donald Zsigo, Joseph Zsigo, and Marie (Jeff) Thomas; six grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Juanita (Don) Ely, Ervin (Gladys) Davis Jr. . Jerry (Lois) Davis, and Roy Davis; and several nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis E. Zsigo; Infant son, James Brian; sister, Joyce Slawson.
