Joanne Ruth Lukowski

Joanne Ruth Lukowski - Age 79, of Fenton, passed away July 7, 2025. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Thursday, July 17, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, with Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Wednesday, July 16 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 10AM until the time of Mass at the church. Those desiring may make a contribution to Alzheimer's Association or St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Joanne was born May 9, 1946 in Bay City, the daughter of Donald and Marvel (Mueller) Taubert. She was a graduate of Carrollton High School and Central Michigan University. Joanne married Frank William Lukowski on August 17, 1968 in Bay City; he preceded her in death on May 14, 2025. In 2007, Joanne retired from EDS. She was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, volunteered and was in charge of funeral dinners and Prayer Shawl Ministry. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, CCW and Red Hat Society. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially on Lake Fenton.

Joanne is survived by her children, Jodi (Wayne) Berry of Grand Blanc, Steven Lukowski of Fenton and Amy (Chris) Blair of Fenton; grandchildren, Kyle Willoughby, Luke (Elizabeth) Willoughby, Ryan Lukowski, Courtney Lukowski, Anna Blair and Kevin Blair; sister, Peggy (Ken) Lange of Bay City; sister-in-law, Monica (Bill) Hamman of Midland; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Frank and Geraldine Lukowski; sister, Donna Rigda; brother-in-law, Joseph Rigda; nephew, Bryan Salgot; niece, Tammy Lange. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
