RAMP, Joanne Carol - Age 74, of Ypsilanti formerly of Brighton and Swartz Creek, died Monday, December 9, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Berean Baptist Church, 6705 Rustic Ridge Trail, Grand Blanc. Pastor Robert Dickie officiating. Burial immediately following in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the church Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or Community Hospice Foundation. Arrangements handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Mrs Ramp was born April 17, 1939 in Alpena, the daughter of Lorenzo Dow and Marjorie Elizabeth (Himes) Edmonds. She was a 1957 graduate of Mandeville High School. She married Robert Ramp August 8, 1997 in Plymouth. Mrs. Ramp retired in 1998 from the U of M Dental School in Ann Arbor. Surviving are: husband, Robert; children, Cindy and husband Larry Mobley of Swartz Creek, Vicki and husband Mason Vincent of Park City, UT, Gregory and wife Beverly Young of Columbus, OH, and Ronald and wife Christa Young of Livonia; step-son, Brad and wife Gina Ramp of Westland; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; 5 sisters and 1 brothers; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffrey Young; grandson, Elijah; her children's father, Lloyd Young; step-daughter, Dr. Bobbie Ramp; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
