Joanne Wagner

Wagner, Joanne Karen - Age 74 , of Flint, died Wednesday, October 7, 2015. Services will be held 1 PM Monday, October 12 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Pastor Susan Lidums officiating. Private interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 3-7 PM Sunday, 11 AM - 1 PM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Children's Miracle Network. Joanne was born July 15, 1941 in Superior, Wisconsin, the daughter of Claude and Marian (Ray) VanHollan. She had many years of service as a hospice nurse in Genesee County and Roscommon, and enjoyed giving comfort to patients and their families. She was a member of Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church. Joanne is survived by her children, Karen (Michael) Kowalko of Swartz Creek, Michael (Britt) Wagner of Fenton, Kevin Wagner of Flint; grandchildren, Camille and Allison Kowalko, Kate and Zachary Wagner, Shane and Logan Wagner. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gerald VanHollan. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Willowbrook Manor for their outstanding care of her for the last three years.
