MacINNES, John H. "Jack" -- Age 89, of Flint, died November 5, 2012 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be 1 PM Friday, November 9 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 2-5 and 7-9 PM Thursday with a 7 PM Masonic service Thursday under the auspices of Swartz Creek Lodge # 458 F & A.M. Those desiring may make contributions to the Elf Khurafeh Shriners Transportation Fund. Mr. MacInnes was born July 16, 1923 in Flint the son of William and Floy (Cook) MacInnes. He attended Central High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII and retired from the National Guard, with the rank of Master Sergeant. He married Wilma J. Willis on July 10, 1948 in Flint. Mr. MacInnes retired from GMPD in 1980. He was a member of the Swartz Creek Lodge # 458 F.& A.M., Bay City Consistory, Elf Khurafeh Shrine, VFW Chevrolet Post 3087, Flint Shrine Club, Fenton Shrine Club, and was the past director of the Shriners Hospital Transportation Unit. He was an avid bowler and golfer. Surviving are: wife of 64 years, Wilma; three children, John H. MacInnes Jr. and wife Donna of Murfreesboro, TN, Sharon and husband John Fisher of Harbor Beach, MI, Marie and husband Al Sturm of Holly; four grandchildren, Sean MacInnes, Wendy and husband Greg Cook, Stacey and husband Tony Springer, Kelsey MacInnes; five great-grandchildren, Dylon, Tyler, Charles, Miles, and Zoe.
