John D. Martini

John David “JD” “Marty” Martini of Burton passed peacefully on June 9, 2025, surrounded by all his loved ones. He was born on May 6, 1941, in Flint, Michigan, to John and Jeanette (Lindberg) Martini and He married Pauline Lavelle in 1965.

John was a proud member of the UAW Local 653 and a retiree from GM Pontiac SPO with more than 45 years of service. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to all.

He enjoyed having a good cup of coffee in the morning and had a big love of trains, cars, and tractors. He loved to spend time with his friends and family.

John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Pauline Martini, sons, Aaron (Alisa) Martini and Paul (Heather) Martini, grandchildren, Sarah Martini, Aidan Martini, and Abbey Swan; brother-in-law Tom Dunn, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janet Dunn.

He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. A cremation has taken place, no funeral arrangements at this time. A celebration his life will take place later this summer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to All About Animals Rescue in Flint, Michigan.
