RAUCH, John W. - Age 74, of Fenton, died October 6, 2012. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 806 Main St., Fenton. Pastor Dean Dumbrille will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and 10 AM until the time of service on Saturday, at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church. John was born January 26, 1938 in Flint, the son of Ray and Ethel (Parkinson) Rauch. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. John retired from Grand Blanc Township DPW after 30 years of service. He had also served as the Assistant Chief of Police in Grand Blanc Township. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, APWA, Ducks Unlimited and Small Cities. John had lived in Fenton since 1993. He was active in the Fenton community, where served on the City Council for 16 years and was Mayor Protem from 2009-2011. Surviving are: wife, Gwenn; daughters, Janet Rauch, Susan (Andrew) O'Daniel; granddaughters, Jessica and Ashley O'Daniel; brother-in-law, Greg (Joanne) Johns. He was preceded in death by his parents.
