WALKER, Johnnie Layne- Age 78, of Flint, died August 7, 2013 at McLaren, Flint . Services will be 6 PM Friday, August 9 at the Riverside Tabernacle, 429 NB Chavez Drive, Flint. Those desiring may make contributions in lieu of flowers to the Storehouse at the Riverside Tabernacle. Johnnie was born October 5, 1934 in San Bernadino, CA, the son of Walter and Mae Ruth (Boyd) Walker . He had served in the Civil Air Patrol. He was married to Josefina Aguilar on October 15, 1967 in Flint. He had worked as the Chef for the Flint Golf Club and then worked for MTA for several years. He was a longtime member of the Riverside Tabernacle. He was a Master Mason Shriner and was a member of the Vienna Lodge and had attended the Swartz Creek Lodge. Surviving are: wife of 45 years Josefina; three children, Jessica Aguilar-Christy (husband Michael), Johnnie Walker II, Jaime Walker; grandchildren, Emilee Dodds, Devon Wheeler, Nicholas Merret, Lola Walker, Genevieve Walker; nieces Lynnette Hagar, Michelle Mean.
