JANIK, Joseph M. - Age 75 of Flint Twp. passed away July 29, 2019. Funeral Services 1PM Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Home at our temporary location, Hill Creek Church 5363 Hill Road, Swartz Creek 48473. Burial at Sunset HIlls Cemetery. Transplant Center Kidney/Pancreas Fund, 1000 Oakbook Drive, Suite 1000, Ann Arbor Michigan 48104. Joseph was born November 22, 1943 in Durand, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Barko) Janik. He married Jan Gould in Flushing on July 8, 2001. Joseph was a Fork Truck Driver with GM at the Chevrolet V-8 Plant, retiring in 2001 after 37 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, playing pool and riding his Harley Motorcycle. Surviving are: wife, Jan; children, Joseph Janik Jr., Kevin (Jeri) Janik, Kimberly Jo (Jeff) Chandler; step children, Kimberly Prewitt, Adam (Jennifer) Prewitt; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Morgan) Chandler Jr., Alicia Chandler, Hannah, Maya, Sammi, and Bobby; great grandchild, Myles; sister, Laurie Bowers; nephew, Nick; niece, Stacey.
