Joseph C. Queen

QUEEN, Joseph C. - age 75, formerly of Grand Blanc, died Friday, June 7, 2013 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Services will be held 1 PM Monday, June 10, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday and 11 AM until time of service Monday. Joseph was born December 12, 1937 in Aracoma, WV, the son of Ail and Nora (Hamonds) Queen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from General Motors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He played softball for years and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play ball. Surviving are: son, Joe (Kristin) Queen of White Lake; daughter, Angie Ford of Whitmore Lake; five grandchildren, Chelsee Queen, Kayla (Richie) Burke, Krista Queen, Brianna and Hailey Brassaw; great-grandchildren, Jaycee and Parker; former wife, Paula Queen of Mt. Morris; two brothers, Lawrence Queen and James (Maxine) Queen; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lillie White and Jeanetta Carpenter; two brothers, Herman and Sebert Queen; sister-in-law, Sandra Queen.
