Joseph Lee Sabin

Sabin, Joseph Lee - age 70 of Flint, went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2026. A funeral will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507 with Pastor Jon Gildner officiating. (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via the link on Joseph's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com) Entombment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday and from 11:00 AM Saturday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Joseph to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Carriage Town Ministries.

Joseph was born on December 9, 1955, in Flint, Michigan, to Donald and Joyce (Brown) Sabin. He attended Flint Central High School and then served his country by joining the U.S. Marine Corps. He married Sandy McGowen on September 20, 1986. He worked at Kettering University for 30 years and attended Central Church of the Nazarene.

Joe enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and walking nature trails with his wife. He loved the Lord with all his heart and was a true example of God’s love in the way he loved his wife, family, neighbors, and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Sabin; his four children, Jason (Carrie) Sabin of Tennessee, Nikki (George) Bowden of Clio,  Jenny Koos of Flint, Candace Sabin of Alabama; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; four brothers, Tim (Marilyn) Sabin, Tom (Stephanie) Sabin, Donald (Sandi) Sabin, and Brian Sabin; one sister, Jackie Sabin; his father-in-law, Jay McGowen; his brother-in-law, Stephen (Sara) McGowen; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Joyce Sabin, and his mother-in-law, Doris McGowen.
