SMITH, Joseph Andrew - Age 44, of Linden, died March 5, 2014. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Jim Wiegand will officiate. Burial will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-9 PM Monday and from 11 AM until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to a college fund for his children. Joe was born January 1, 1970. Husband of Kimberly (Wojtkowiak). Father of Joseph, Samantha, Rebekah and David. Son of Daniel and Patricia Smith. A veteran of the U.S. Army. Graduated from the University of Michigan and University of Miami earning two Masters Degrees. Joe worked for FOX 2 NEWS in Detroit as a photo journalist. He was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan. Joe was a devoted and loving Youth Leader at the Freedom Center in Fenton. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia; brothers, Daniel and Matt; sisters, Lena and Danielle. He was preceded in death by his father.
