Joyce Elaine Getcy

Joyce Elaine (Jones) Getcy- Age 83, of Lennon, passed away February 10, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 1PM on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes- Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek, MI. Visitation will take place on Monday from 11AM until the time of service. A light lunch will be available during the time of visitation. Interment private.

Joyce was dedicated to her three children who adored and loved her deeply. She was married to her husband and lifelong friend, Frank, for 64 years.

Joyce was born June 30, 1942, in Pulaski, Virginia to the late Theodore William and Ruby Alice (Rogers) Jones. She moved to Michigan when she was 15 and was a long-time resident of Lennon, MI where she had many friends. She retired from Genesys Hospital after 30 years working in Food and Nutrition. She was a great cook who made the best desserts.

Joyce will be missed by all of those she left behind. Many hearts are so broken by the loss of a beautiful, funny mother, adoring grandmother, and friend to many. She was a one-of-a-kind and friends and family are blessed to have known her. She was loved more than words could express.

Joyce is survived by her children Robbin (Larry), Steve and Becky (John); grandchildren Jill (Brad), Nicole (Rob), Dan, Kelly (Nick); great-granddaughter, Lanie; and great-great-granddaughter, Lila.

She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Getcy Jr. who passed away on June 10, 2025.
