Joyce E. REBER

REBER, Joyce E. - Age 87, of Lapeer, died January 5, 2014 at McLaren, Flint. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Oregon United Methodist Church, 2971 German Road, Columbiaville. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the charity of their choice. Joyce was born July 15, 1926 in New Boston, Texas, the daughter of Delma and Ruby (Fowler) Crawford. She married William A. Reber on April 9, 1944; he preceded her in death December 4, 2003. Joyce worked as a secretary for U.A.W. Local 659. She was a member of the Oregon United Methodist Church in Lapeer. She was active in the Coachlight Manor Social Club in Ft. Myers, FL. She enjoyed Oil Painting, traveling and spending time with her family. Surviving are: two children, Gail and husband Robert Hawley of Burton, Mark Reber and wife Sue of Flint; four grandchildren, Lisa and husband Max Maxwell, Robert Hawley Jr. and wife Katie, Kathleen and husband Aaron Bain, Lauren and husband Detwann Johnson; six great-grandchildren, Ali, Katelynn, Nathan, Emma, Anna, and Taelyn; brothers Jimmy and wife Deanna Crawford, Michael and wife Robbie Crawford; several nieces, nephews, friends, and friends at Coachlight Manor. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Bill Crawford; and sister Patsy Waldrum. Joyce's family extends a special thanks to Deanna Crawford for her help and extended care, and to the nurses and doctors at McLaren Flint CCU, and the staff at Stonegate of Lapeer.
