LARA, Juan Raul - Age 78, of Burton, died September 12, 2014. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2316 W. Coldwater Rd., Flint. Burial will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint and from 10 AM until the time of Mass Thursday at church. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Juan was born January 27, 1936 in Laredo, TX, the son of Manuel G. and Lucia (Mata) Lara. He retired from General Motors with 52 years of service and was a member and committee man for UAW Local #598. Surviving are: wife, Gloria; children, Rojelio (Ruth) Lara, Faith Savoca and Miguel R. Lara; step-children, Madonna Rosales, Juan J. (Voncile) Rosales and Gloria (Rohit) BellaFlores; many grandchildren; siblings, Lucy, Juana, Meme, Chito, Rachel, Minerva, Margaret, Mario and Mary Ellen. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Juan Lara Jr. and Miguel A. Lara; siblings, Willie, Dora and Ricardo.
