VAUGHN, Juanita June "Nita" - Age 79, of Flint, died April 5, 2013 at McLaren, Flint. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Friday, April 12, 2013 at Charity United Methodist Church, 4601 Clio Rd., Flint, with family hour at 11 AM. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 12-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Those desiring may make contributions to The Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association. Juanita was born September 22, 1933 in Ann Arbor the daughter of Jordan and Doris Howard. She retired from General Motors, and was a member of the U.A.W. serving on several committees. She was a member of Charity United Methodist Church where she served on several committees and held several positions as chairperson. Juanita was a kind person with a Christian heart. Everyone knew where they stood with Juanita. Surviving are: three daughters, Rosalie Glaspie of Flint, Melinda Washington of Flint, Sondra Huddleston of Rochester Hills; grandchildren, James Clements, Amelia (Marcus) Norwood, Kresenthe (Tara) Washington, India Washington, Tanisha Johnson, Brandy Hill, Jeremy Glaspie, Jamie Glaspie; great-grandchildren, James Clements, Neoshiea Clements, Jazlyn Clements, Kiara Glaspie, Deja Glaspie, Stephen Glaspie, Janai Glaspie, Jayloni Glaspie, Maximus Norwood, Miles Washington, Raegan Washington; close relatives, Betty Jane Joplin, Pearlie Mae Jones, Virginia McCann, Claudia Woodson, Evelyn King; and many more relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard Vaughn; son Elarnest Glaspie; son-in-law, Ricardo Washington; and brother, James Cotton.
