Judith Lois "Judy" Tomlinson

TOMLINSON, Judith Lois "Judy" - age 90, of Fenton/Rose Twp., passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023.  A memorial service will be held at a later date at Judy's Chalet on Lake Arrowhead southwest of Gaylord.  Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton.  Those desiring may make contributions to Holly Calvary Methodist Church.  

Judy was born February 27, 1933 in Logansport, IN the daughter of Raymond and Florence (Mahaffey) Schneider.  She married Richard "Dick" Harvey Tomlinson on August 2, 1969 in Logansport, IN.  Judy was a graduate of Ball State University where she earned her bachelor's degree, then Western Michigan University where she earned her master's degree in education.  She retired from Walled Lake Schools teaching English, French, and Spanish at their middle school and high school.  Judy was a long time member of Detroit Model Railroad. She enjoyed square dancing, snow skiing and loved her pet cats.  

Surviving are: her beloved husband of 54 years, Richard "Dick" Tomlinson; "adopted son" Skyler Shippy; nieces and nephews, Larry Tomlinson, Lynn Stockabrand, Linda Woosley, Greenfield, IN; Denise Hyman, Hillsboro, NC; Janet Sholty (Tim), Franklin, IN; Anita Ellison (Robert), Cox’s Creek, KY; Rebecca Treitz (Richard), Greensburg, KY; Julie Shepard (Mark), Dayton, OH; Howard Schneider, New Jersey. 

She was preceded in death by: her parents and her brothers, Mickey and David Schneider.  Tributes may be made at sharpfuneralhomes.com
