Judy Dover

DOVER, Judy Ann "Toots" - age 65, of Swartz Creek, died peacefully Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at her home with her family and beloved pets. Family and friends are cordially invited to celebrate Toots' life in an extended service, filled with live music from a five piece Scottish Pipe band, as well as, many Southern Gospel music concert videos. There will be a special sermon presented and the family asks you to share your fun memories of Toots. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 13, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Entombment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 12-8 PM Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County. Judy was born September 3, 1951 in Flint, the daughter of R. Richard and Nancy E. (Lasley) Long. She was a graduate of Swartz Creek High School and the first married student at Swartz Creek Public Schools. Judy married Royce "Mickey" Dover on August 25, 1967 and he preceded her in death on January 24, 2012. Judy loved traveling, cruises and visiting Amish Country. She also loved music and played the drums. Surviving are: two sons, Toby S. and Jason M. Dover of Swartz Creek; brother, Steven R. Long and brother-in-law, Wayne Dorman of Swartz Creek; family fur babies, Punkin and Pansy; special friend, Melinda Hopton. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
