Judy Martin

Judith Ann "Judy" Martin- Age 83, of Swartz Creek, passed away December 23, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI. Visitation will take place from 12:00PM until the time of service on Tuesday.

Judy was born November 22, 1942, in Flint, Michigan to Meredith and Viola (Stanton) Martin. She was a life-long resident of the Flint area.

She was a licensed cosmetologist, a national award-winning Home Interior saleswoman, and a small business owner with her lifelong friend, Carolyn Kilbury. She had a gift for sewing and knitting, and she loved painting and gardening.

For many years she worked at AC Spark Plug in Flint and became a well-respected shift supervisor and all-around trouble shooter. Any area that needed straightening out, she was the person to get things done! After taking a buyout, she returned to work as a contract engineer responsible for staging and opening both the Spring Hill Tennessee plant and the Flint Engine Operations South before retiring in 2004.

Outside of work, Judy was a dedicated member of North Baptist Church, and a lifetime member of the McLaren Auxiliary, where she also served as a past president.

Judy is survived by her children Julie Parsons-Hall and Steven Parsons; grandchildren Meredith (Josh Tanner) Haddock, Ashley “Lainie” (Barry Richardson II) Haddock, and Opal Parsons; great-grandchildren Tristan Tanner, Rowan Tanner, Garen Tanner, Barry Richardson III, and Hayley Richardson; siblings Roy (Susan) Martin, and Linda (the late Terry) Kephart; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Meredith and Viola (Stanton) Martin; and brothers Bob and Jim Martin.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to McLaren Flint Auxiliary Volunteers (401 S. Ballenger Hwy, Flint MI 48532).
