LYNN, Julius Robert -- Age 86, of Gaines, died December 28, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, January 2, 2015 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 6273 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment will be at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Pastor Chris Yager officiating. Visitation will be 2-6 PM Wednesday and Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek; and 10 AM until time of service at the church on Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to Cornerstone Baptist Church. Julius was born February 9, 1928 in Risco, MO, the son of William D. and Greta Marguerite (Walker) Lynn. He married Charlotte Joyce Parker on September 27, 1952; she preceded him in death on February 12, 2007. Julius was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany. He worked for GM at the Truck plant for over 30 years retiring in 1984. Surviving are children, Linda (Jim) Hatcher of Dewitt, Mary Diana (Patrick) Osika of Flint, Robert Duane (Angela) Lynn of Indianapolis, IN; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Ethel Marshall of Dexter, MO; brothers, Donald (Annabelle) Lynn of St. Louis, MO, William Floyd Lynn of Fowler, MI, Eldon (Martha) Lynn of Farmington, MO, Husted (Patty) Lynn of Maple Rapids, MI; He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; 2 brothers, Edward, Buford; grandson, Samuel Isaac Osika, 3 sisters, Edith May, Verna Bell, Velma Dell.
